Dear guests, colleagues and Mr.Manager School head, a heartfelt welcome to Osimo. I am very glad to meet you here, in the municipal building of Osimo, the truly heart of our town.
I am here to welcome you as Head of the City Council. I feel myself nevertheless even closer to you for what our jobs concerns: taking care of the educational and cultural growth of young people.
I believe that it is more and more important to keep on focusing on young people. It is them who are the recipients of so many meaningful actions, that Europe -a Europe we all wanted to be unified, United – has been using in the field. And all of you, all of us, we are a precious fundamental part of this project.
Your being here, today, is a big opportunity to stimulate and encourage the growth of professionalism and competence, to make innovations in the educational practice and school management. All that is fundamental for us, teachers. We can improve and professionally grow for sure. Contemporary we all can make the cultural and human growth of young people, of which we are fully aware to be responsible, better and better.
To the Erasmus project belongs a big credit: to make schools situated in different lands closer. Different lands whose growth can be possible through educational and cultural exchanges too.
We have to go on focusing on what Europe means in order to promote unification. We need these relationships, these friendships. They are fundamental to connect one another.
We are all on the same path, a path called Europe. All together, in peace, we will manage to go beyond every difficulties, both social and economic ones.
I wish that this experience we are just been living, will enrich us all, from a professional point of view -as teachers- and as human beings.
I hope you have been appreciating the beauties of our town and the heartfelt welcome your colleagues has offered to all of you.
Good work to everyone !
